Internet Integration

Concord Transportation provides all customers, upon request, with access to its state-of-the-art interactive shipment tracking system. The system, integrated with our industry leading satellite-tracking technology, allows for the monitoring of shipments 24 hours a day.

In addition to monitoring your shipment, you can also view shipping documents and download custom freight analysis reports for selected time periods. With the Internet Shipment Tracking system, you can obtain:

• Display of a detailed full page of that shipment
• Exact location from the satellite system & PC Miler
• Movements from the dispatch system
• Display of the image file
• Images that can be manipulated for size and position, and printed via the web browser

Fleet Communications

All linehaul tractors are equipped with Qualcomm mobile communication units. This not only ensures that instant communication with drivers is available at all times, but it also enables Concord to track all shipments as they move through our system and proactively notifies customers of any potential problems.

Document Imaging

Concord's customized, DMG document imaging application stores all shipping documents electronically. This networked system gives all Concord branch locations the ability to scan and retrieve documents in seconds, sending them by fax directly to the customer.

RNS Link to Canada Customs

Concord has a direct link to the Canada Customs Release Notification System. This connection allows our dispatch and customer service representatives to know the moment that your trans-border shipments have been released by Canada Customs, in order to facilitate timely delivery.

Tracing

Between customer service representatives and dispatch personnel, Concord staff are available virtually 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Our tracing system allows fast, accurate access to shipment information. This technology is made available to our customers through the QUICKTRACE feature on the home page of this site.

Barcoding

We have enhanced our technology through the addition of BARCODING to our extensive list of value added services. Barcoding results in further efficiency and accuracy during the data entry and retrieval process, using scanners to read 11 digit barcode numbers.

Every shipment billed has a barcode label applied, which serves as the new freight bill number.

• The Pick-Up Driver applies a Concord barcode label to both the Customer's and Concord’s copy of the Bill of Lading.
• For cross border shipments, a barcode label is also applied to the Customs documents.
• There are six labels to each barcode number, and any remaining labels will be applied to the freight.
• You can use the barcode number for tracking and tracing purposes. You can trace your shipments through our web site to take full control of monitoring your shipment, or you can utilize the assistance of our friendly and knowledgeable Customer Service Representatives.
• Concord Transportation also offers large volume customers the option of applying the barcodes themselves.

EDI and Custom Reporting
