Safety is a critical issue at Concord. We are extremely proud of our excellent safety record and our comprehensive maintenance program forms an integral component of ensuring our vehicles are in top mechanical condition while in transit. Every truck receives a comprehensive preventative maintenance check
between 20,000 miles and 30,000 miles. All wheel bearings are checked, trucks
are lubricated as required and nuts are torqued to recommended specifications. Tire pressures and brakes are also checked.
Trailers undergo preventative maintenance every 90 days for the reefer units, and
every 120 days for the dry vans, including brakes, lights, tire pressure and suspension. Concord trailers have a maintenance sticker on the front that is stamped with date and time indicating when it was last serviced in our check bay. No trailer leaves the yard if the sticker is outdated. Post trip inspections are also done on all vehicles.
Our Facilities
Trucks are serviced at Kenworth (Toronto), which is a 12 bay, fully licensed maintenance facility and Motor Vehicle Inspection Station. Trailers are serviced by Trailcon (Toronto).
Our facilities have also been used to train employees of the Ministry of Transportation of Ontario and we work closely with the MTO to ensure safe standards are maintained within our industry.
Our Personnel
Our drivers perform regular circle checks of equipment, in fact, no equipment leaves our yard without this being done.
